You would think that a group of adults, all coming together for a common cause would not have to be told how to behalf, but this is the internet, and unfortunately, it is plagued by what we like to call Trolls. They come in, for the sole purpose of causing havoc, chaos, and trouble. Their only goal is to rile up regular users of any particular forum. So, with that in mind, We've created a set of Rules and Regulations, to help create a nice, calm, safe environment for all of us.

Welcome to the MALS Place Forum, a helpful and courteous community of people interested in autism spectrum disorders.

Registration: At the top of the right sidebar, there is a place to register and log in. You do not have to register in order to read messages, but you must register if you wish to post or search the board. In registering, you decide how much information to provide. By registering, you agree that you have read all rules, terms and conditions and are able to understand and follow them. We recommend that you do NOT use your real first and last names in your user name.

If you have trouble registering, or if your registration is not confirmed within 24 hours, please email MALSPlace2007(at)gmail.com. Do not set up multiple user names if an account is not working properly. This is not allowed. You can change a user name on your account, but do not create more than one account.

BOARD RULES:

  • No use of explicit, obscene or vulgar language or images and/or messages, including racist and/or discriminatory remarks. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness. No personal attacks of any kind will be tolerated. Respect other members of the community and don’t belittle, make fun off, or insult another member.
  • Do not post off-topic. Please keep your comments consistent with the subject and purpose of the conversation thread. Deliberate disruption -- such as consistent off-topic and/or frivolous commentary -- will not be tolerated and such posts will be deleted.
  • We do not permit people or companies to use the board to advertise, market or promote products, services and businesses. We don't permit the use of anonymous proxy services, which are a tool of spammers and marketers.
  • Do not disrespect moderators. Be respectful in both the forums and any private communications with moderators. Moderators are volunteers that donate many hours of their own time to help with the forum. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated.
  • We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
  • Administrator has the right to view and/or delete PMs at will.
  • While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
  • We also reserve the right to ban anyone at any time, for any reason, as access to our support forums is a privilege and not a right.
  • Unregistered posts are not currently allowed on this forum.
  • All final decisions regarding posts and banning reside with the administrator.
  • These rules are subject to change at any time without notice.

Consequences:

Posts that violate these rules may be deleted, or edited. Consider it a warning if your post has been deleted or edited by us, or if we have asked you to edit a post.

Members who violate the rules may have their posting privileges suspended temporarily, or revoked permanently, without warning or appeal. Sanctions are up to board moderators and are judged based upon the number and/or severity of the infraction(s).

Abusive or threatening communications to board administrators and moderators will result in immediate suspensions or bans.
